Soil,Water & Environmental Conservation foundation ( SWECF KENYA) is a Non-Governmental Organization which is located in mwingi   Kenya  whose mission is to cooperate with other development partners and the local communities, in particular the rural poor communities of northern and eastern Kenya in supporting the local initiatives. SWECF is aiming at reducing poverty,promoting sustainable development through use of resources found in various areas in the community and spreading the Gospel  SWECF also seek to empower people to develop capacity and means of accessing equally to the basic social services as a requirement in the efforts to contribute to their own development, with an understanding that it is through participation and empowerment of the people that sustainable development can be achieved. ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION PROGRAM A photo of one areas we are focusing in eastern part of Kenya .the area is affected by climate change .it's drying up, leading to ground water levels to go down.more afforestation  programs needed to be done. Charcoal business the major cause of  climate change SWECF KENYA afforestation program . We are planning to plant over 10,000trees of different species in North Eastern part of Kenya. The climate change as affected this area leading to drying up ,water resources drying . people in these regions have been cutting down trees making charcoal as there duty and business.we have traine this communities about afforestation program and we have many seedlings of different species of trees.we want to fight away the climate change.
